The Academy of General Dentistry is an international organization of 35,000 general dentists. Earning the Fellowship Award means completing more than 500 hours of continuing education courses within 10 years and passing a rigorous fellowship examination. The Mastership requires an additional 600 hours of continuous education. The Academy is not a requirement, but a commitment to continuing dental education and to giving patients the best possible care.

Dr. Sells has been a member of the Benton Kiwanis Club for 26 years and a deacon at the Benton Church of Christ for seven years. His professional memberships include the International Orthodontic Society, The American Orthodontic Society, The Functional Orthodontic Society, the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the Purchase Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He is also a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Magic is Dr. Sells' main hobby and he is always ready to share a magic trick, whether with a young patient in his dental chair for pediatric or orthodontic treatment, or before an audience of school children, for whom he occasionally gives classroom dental presentations. "Dentistry is fun and it is exciting to see the new techniques to keep our patients smiling."

Dr. Sells and his staff work as a team to make each patient's dental experience as pleasant as possible -- in order to achieve true "Gentle Dental Care."
